K & J's EXCELLENT FLAGSTAFF ADVENTURE!

Glitter Graphics | http://www.graphicsgrotto.com/

JB and me decided to take a one day trip to Flagstaff.  We stopped by the cabin to pick up some Christmas decorations, etc. that we had left from last year.  We browsed the bookstores, had a wonderful dinner at Baxters, walked the mall (which had a big cozy fireplace in the center) and then on to Little America resort.  Little America decorates hundreds of trees with lights outside the resort, it was gorgeous, a winter wonderland!

It's hard to believe that only 1-1/2 hrs. from the desert of Phoenix is our own little version of "Oregon" with snow, snow, snow!

There was about 18 inches on the ground, I was in heaven!
This is a rustic cabin right off I-17 on the way to Flagstaff.  I've always loved this scene.  I took this picture flying by it at 75 mph, hanging out the window.  Obviously John was driving!!! CLICK PIC to see it larger and in detail, it's a beautiful scene!

Coming into our cabin sub-division, a snow covered golf course!

No way could we get in the driveway, we had to park in the street!

That's a LOT of snow!  But not as much as last year (yet)!

On top of the hill overlooking Flagstaff, so pretty, but I took these two pictures in two seconds and flew back to the car.  I'm a wus in the cold!!!

I love this old church in Flagstaff!

Uhhhhh???????

For those of you familiar with Bend, Oregon, doesn't this look just like Pilot Butte!

The entrance to Little America Resort.  The following are pictures I took as we walked all around the grounds.

Don't worry, no chance of that!!!

I kept praying for it to snow just a little bit while we were there.  Just outside of Flag, on our way home, it snowed for about one mile!  Oh well, my prayers were answered!

And thus, the end of K & J's Excellent Flagstaff Adventure...what a fun day!
