Being a photographer, I LOVE taking pics of the fantastic lightning we get here, as well as the amazing and unusual Haboobs. What is a Haboob you might ask? It is a GIANT dust storm that rolls in off the desert. It is sometimes a mile high and miles wide, really something to see! So here are a few Arizona weather phenomena that I've captured...
The following was a hail storm that caused wide spread damage to the Phoenix area. Golf ball sized hail dented our truck, tore through our canvas awings, etc. It was pretty amazing! See the video I posted on Youtube:

| This was one SCARY cloud and storm that followed! I call this the "Armageddon Cloud"! Sure looked like the one in Independence Day when a space ship emerged out of it!!!! Click pic to see it larger, in detail. |

| That dang cloud is ROTATING!!! JB and me were at a stone company, picking out decorative rock for our yard and we saw this cloud. We made a beeline for home and soon after came the massive storm!!! |
