In April, JB and me were off to San Diego to use our Time Share and celebrate his birthday. We've came here before in April and loved it. It's not as crowded and the weather is usually great. We stay at the Lawrence Welk Resort. Sounds old and fuddy duddy? Of course, WE are old and fuddy duddy, so I guess we'd fit right in if it were that way. But nope, it's modern and gorgeous, we love it!!! The resort is actually in Escondido, inland from the beach about 20 miles.
We take a coast road to Carlsbad and play on the beach and walk the streets. It has by far the best pizza restaurant around, yum! Carlsbad is a cozy little southern California coastal town, we love going there. We've taken our kids there a lot when we use to come here every summer with them for a week. Julie and Alex spent their honeymoon in Carlsbad! (They loved the pizza too!).
